RacePrint Terms of Service

Effective date: September 29, 2026 Last updated: September 29, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and RacePrint LLC ("RacePrint," "we," "us"), a Washington limited liability company. They cover your use of raceprint.ai, the RacePrint apps, and related services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information and is part of these Terms.

1. Running is risky. Please read this first.

RacePrint suggests trails and training plans for informational purposes only. It is not medical advice, and it is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Talk to a qualified healthcare provider before starting any training program, especially if you have a health condition or haven't trained in a while.

Trail running involves real, inherent risks: falls, injury, getting lost, wildlife, weather, heat, cold, altitude, and remote terrain far from help. You choose where, when, and how you run, and you do so at your own risk.

Trail information comes from public and third-party sources and from automated analysis. It can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date. Trails can be closed, washed out, on private land, seasonal, or unsafe. Always check current conditions, closures, and access rules with the land manager, obey posted signs, and use your own judgment on the ground. A match in RacePrint does not mean a trail is open, legal to access, or safe for you.

2. Who can use RacePrint

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you may use it only with the permission of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.

3. Your account

You're responsible for your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. Give us accurate information, and let us know right away at the email below if you think someone else has accessed your account. One person per account.

4. What you can and can't do

Use the Service for your own personal training. Please don't:

  • Break any law, or use the Service to trespass or access closed or restricted land
  • Upload files you don't have the right to share, or anything harmful, such as malware
  • Scrape, copy, or bulk-download the Service or its data, or use automated tools to access it, except as we allow
  • Reverse engineer the Service, or try to get around its security, limits, or access controls
  • Resell the Service or use it to build a competing product
  • Interfere with the Service or other users

5. Your content and ours

Your content stays yours. You own the GPX files, course files, and other information you upload ("Your Content"). You give us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to store, process, and use Your Content only to run, improve, and secure the Service for you. This license ends when you delete Your Content or your account, except for copies we're required to keep by law or that remain briefly in backups.

You confirm you have the right to upload Your Content. Race course files may belong to race organizers; upload only files you're allowed to use.

The Service is ours. RacePrint, its software, design, matching methods, and the RacePrint name and logo belong to RacePrint LLC and are protected by law. The matches, fingerprints, and training plans the Service generates for you are for your personal, non-commercial use.

Feedback. If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them without owing you anything.

6. Third-party services and data

The Service relies on third-party services and data, including maps and map data (such as Mapbox and OpenStreetMap contributors), elevation data (such as the U.S. Geological Survey and Google), and sign-in providers. Their data may carry its own terms and attribution requirements, and we're not responsible for its accuracy or availability.

7. Fees

The Service is currently free. If we introduce paid features, we'll tell you the price and terms before you're charged, and you'll only pay if you choose to.

8. Ending your use

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms, if required by law, or if we stop offering the Service; where reasonable, we'll let you know first. Sections 1, 5 (ours and feedback), 9, 10, 11, and 12 continue to apply after your account ends.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DON'T PROMISE THAT THE SERVICE, ITS TRAIL MATCHES, OR ITS TRAINING PLANS WILL BE ACCURATE, SAFE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT THEY WILL IMPROVE YOUR RACE RESULTS.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW, RACEPRINT AND ITS OWNERS AND MEMBERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR PERSONAL INJURY OR PROPERTY DAMAGE ARISING FROM YOUR TRAINING, RUNNING, OR TRAVEL TO OR ON ANY TRAIL, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF $100 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.

Some places don't allow certain of these limits, so they may not all apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as for gross negligence or intentional misconduct.

11. Indemnity

If someone brings a claim against us because of how you used the Service, Your Content, or your breach of these Terms, you agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs, including legal fees, to the extent allowed by law.

12. Disputes

Talk to us first. If you have a problem, email us and give us 30 days to try to resolve it informally.

Governing law and venue. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute not resolved informally will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Clark County, Washington, and you and we consent to those courts. Either party may bring a qualifying claim in small claims court instead.

[ATTORNEY DECISION: whether to replace the court clause above with binding individual arbitration and a class-action waiver. Leave as is until reviewed.]

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If a change is significant, we'll tell you on the site or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using the Service after that, you accept the updated Terms.

14. General

These Terms, with the Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. Our not enforcing a part isn't a waiver of it. You can't transfer these Terms without our consent; we may transfer them as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of the business.
