RacePrint Privacy Policy

RacePrint LLC ("RacePrint," "we," "us") runs raceprint.ai and the RacePrint apps. This policy explains what information we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. Use of RacePrint is also subject to our Terms of Service.
The short version: we collect what we need to match your race to trails near you and build your training plan. We don't sell your data. We don't run ads. You can delete your account and your data at any time.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account information. Your name and email address, collected when you sign up, including through Google sign-in.
- Location. The city, region, or home area you enter so we can find trails near you.
- Fitness profile. Details you choose to provide about your running, such as weekly mileage, longest recent run, and fitness level.
- Races and files. The races you select and any GPX or course files you upload.
- Messages. Anything you send us by email or feedback form.
Information we create from what you give us
- Elevation profiles and race "fingerprints" built from course files
- Trail matches and training plans generated for you
Information collected automatically
- Usage and device data. Pages visited, how you arrived at the site (for example, a link or a QR code), approximate location based on IP address, browser and device type. We collect this through Google Analytics, only if you allow analytics cookies (see Section 5).
- Technical logs. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses and request times, for security and reliability.
2. How we use your information
- To provide RacePrint: analyzing race courses, matching trails near you, and generating training plans
- To run your account and sign you in
- To understand how people use RacePrint and improve it
- To keep the service secure and prevent abuse
- To respond to you when you contact us
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.
3. Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers to run RacePrint. They process data on our behalf and only for that purpose.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of our users or others, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of the business. If the business is sold, this policy continues to apply to your information.
Trail and elevation data from public sources, such as the U.S. Geological Survey and OpenStreetMap, is used to build matches. We don't send them your personal information.
4. Consumer health data (Washington and other states)
Some states, including Washington under its My Health My Data Act, treat certain fitness information as "consumer health data." Information you give us about your training, such as weekly mileage or fitness level, may fall into this category.
- What we collect: the fitness profile details described in Section 1, and any related training information you add.
- Why: only to match trails and build your training plan.
- Where it comes from: directly from you.
- Who receives it: the service providers listed in Section 3, only to deliver RacePrint to you. We don't sell it.
- Your rights: you can find out what consumer health data we have, see a list of everyone we've shared it with, withdraw your consent, and have it deleted. Use the contact details in Section 10.
5. Cookies and analytics
We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies:
- Essential cookies keep you signed in and keep the site secure. These are always on.
- Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) tell us how people find and use RacePrint. These are off unless you accept them in the cookie banner. You can change your choice anytime using the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of any page.
We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

6. How long we keep your information
We keep your account information, uploads, matches, and plans while your account is open. When you delete your account, we delete that data from our systems. Copies in backups are removed on the backup schedule, typically within 30 days. Analytics data is kept according to our Google Analytics retention setting.
7. Your choices and rights
Wherever you live, you can:
- Access the information we hold about you
- Correct information that's wrong
- Delete your account and data, from your account settings or by contacting us
- Get a copy of your data
- Turn analytics cookies off, using the "Cookie settings" link
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights:
- California residents: you have the right to know, delete, and correct your personal information, and to not be treated differently for using these rights. We don't sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in California law.
- EU, UK, and similar regions: we process your information to provide the service you asked for (contract), for our legitimate interests in running and securing RacePrint, and with your consent for analytics cookies. You can object to processing, restrict it, and complain to your local data protection authority.
We'll respond to requests within the time the law requires, usually 30–45 days. We may need to confirm your identity first.
8. Security
We protect your information with encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable hosting providers. No system is perfectly secure, and we'll notify you if a breach affects your information as required by law.
9. Children
RacePrint is not intended for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
